QUEEN ARISE
Today, I want to shine light on something powerful, something needed, something timely for every woman who has ever felt small, tired, invisible, or forgotten.
We’re talking about Queen Arise, a book written by my book coach, Josephine Oghenekevbe Ogufere, a woman who understands what it means to rise from quiet places and stand boldly in purpose. This book is more than pages; it’s a movement, a mirror, a message. It reminds every woman that the crown is not something you pick up… it’s something you grow into.
And because of that, I wrote a spoken-word piece, a fire-filled, hope-driven poem for every queen finding her voice again.
Here it is:
QUEEN ARISE
Queen…
You were born with fire in your footprints,
a prophecy in your pulse,
a crown hiding in your courage
and today, destiny is dialing your name
with no missed calls.
Arise.
They tried to break your wings,
but your spirit kept winging it.
They tried to dim your light,
but even in the dark, you stayed lit.
You turned every “no” into not-yet,
every setback into step-back-and-aim.
Your pain became your passport,
stamped by storms, approved by grace.
Arise.
You are not a woman of weakness
you are a wonder with scars,
a survivor with style,
a miracle wearing a human smile.
Hope hangs on your heartbeat,
purpose stands at your doorway
saying, “Queen, it’s time.”
Arise.
You’re royalty with resilience.
You don’t just walk through fire
you turn flames into fashion.
You don’t just climb mountains
you make the mountain rearrange itself
to fit your feet.
Every tear you cried
watered the soil of your calling.
Every night you broke
built the morning inside you.
Your story is not a tragedy
it is a trilogy:
fall, rise, reign.
Arise.
Let your confidence come back home.
Let your voice grow sharp like sunrise.
Let your dreams stretch until destiny says “Yes.”
Don’t shrink. Don’t pause. Don’t apologize.
The throne is thirsty for the sound of your steps.
Queen…
when you rise, women rise with you.
When you shine, darkness hides from you.
When you stand, heaven stands behind you.
So lift your head
your crown is breathing.
Lift your hands
your victory is reaching.
Lift your life
your purpose is preaching.
Queen, arise…
not just to live,
but to lead.
Not just to shine,
but to set others on fire.
Not just to survive
but to reign.
